GUARANTEES
Hip & Eye Guarantee
All puppies come with a hip and eye guarantee. The puppies are guaranteed to be OFA certifiable at 2 years of age. X-rays must be taken by a board certified veterinarian before 30 months of age. The eyes are guaranteed free and clear from congenital problems. The diagnosis must be made by a board certified veterinary ophthalmologist before 30 months of age. Any dog covered by this guarantee that is diagnosed with retinal or hip dysphasia and has followed the guidelines stated below will be given a replacement puppy of comparable breeding and price by discretion of Highpoint Labradors. If you choose to receive a puppy of a higher breeding and price, the price of the dog covered by this guarantee will apply toward the price of a new puppy. The following conditions must be met to be provided a replacement puppy:
1. OFA shall be the sole judge regarding hip dysphasia. Hips must be rejected by the OFA.
2. CERF shall be the sole judge of hereditary eye problems. Eyes must be rejected by CERF.
3. The dog must not be used for breeding until x-rayed and approved by OFA and CERF. If a dog has sired or whelped a litter, the guarantee is void.
This guarantee must be in original owner’s name, and is non-transferable to new owners if the dog is sold.
